Flexographic printing press is a direct relief printing method using flexible lines
The basic principle of relief printing is very simple. In relief printing, the ink feeding device of the printing press first distributes the ink evenly, and then transfers the ink to the printing plate through the ink roller. Because the image part in the relief plate is much higher than the non-image part in the printing plate, the ink under the ink roller is only transferred to the image part of the printing plate, and the non-image part has no ink. The paper feeding mechanism of the printing press transfers the printing paper to the printing part of the printing press. Under the combination of the printing device and the extraction device, the ink of the printing part is transferred to the hydraulic seal, and the printing of the printed matter is completed. When the printing paper on the back of the printing has a slight pattern protrusion, the edge of the line or network is neat, and the printing ink in the middle is slightly shiny, it is relief printing. The edge of the raised pattern is pressed, so there is a slight pattern protrusion. Compare the characteristics of flexographic printing with gravure printing, offset printing and traditional letterpress printing. General gravure printing press
Flexographic printing press has its own advantages:
1. Low investment in equipment, fast results and high efficiency. Compared with the gravure printing press and the corresponding printing press of the same color group, the price of the flexible printing press is slightly lower. In addition, the flexible printing press integrates printing, die cutting, lighting and other processes, and can complete several processes at a time. There is no need to buy corresponding post-processing equipment, and the return rate is high.
2. The structure of the equipment is relatively simple, and the operation is relatively simple and convenient.
3. High production efficiency. Flexographic printing uses drum materials, which can not only complete the printing of both sides of the printing material, but also complete the work of forming line light (or film), hot stamping, die cutting, waste, unwinding and other related work.
Flexographic printing press is a direct letterpress rotation printing method using flexographic plate according to the texture, but it is different from letterpress printing.
Flexographic printing presses have some characteristics: the plate is elastic material (before the 1960s of the 20th century, a rubber eraser was required for the plate, and after the 1960s, photosensitive resin was used to replace the rubber eraser), the printing pressure can be very light, reducing the consumption of plates and machinery; liquid is used faster than ink; it is easier to mount and pad the plate than the lead plate; it is suitable for printing on some printing materials that cannot be printed by lithography or gravure printing, such as materials with rough surfaces and strong water absorption, and can also be printed on some non-absorbent materials such as packaging paper, glass stickers, aluminum platinum, plastic film and its products, laminated glass and its products, cardboard and its products, etc. The printing speed is faster than that of letterpress rotary printing presses, and roll paper printing is common. The cost of the printing press is low, and there is less waste, so the economic benefits are good. According to foreign forecasts, flexographic printing will compete with offset printing and gravure printing.
